Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce’s COME project, Finland Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment organise Successful Multicultural Company campaign in 2017.
The Successful Multicultural Company campaign is to recognize organizations that have succeeded in multiculturalism and who have embraced the diverse workforce. Through recognizing and bringing up positive experiences the Successful Multicultural Company advocates for multicultural working communities and employers. The aim is also to recognize the benefits of multiculturalism and diverse workforce and encourage employers and companies to expand their multicultural management skills.
As a part of the campaign a competition in search for successful multicultural companies will be organised.
The purpose of the competition is to recognise and bring up positive testimonials and experiences companies have on multiculturalism. The competition is executed through survey, conducted by campaign’s expert partner itim International. The survey measures companies’ organisational cultures and multicultural capabilities.
Registration period has ended.
The results will be announced in a Gala, organised in Helsinki on October 5, 2017.
The Successful Multicultural Company jury will make the final selection for the awarded companies. In addition to itim’s analysis results jury will take into consideration companies’ financial situation and prospects when selecting the awarded companies. Companies participating to the competition will be divided into three categories based on their size.
Chair of the jury is HR Director Kirsi Mettälä (Skanska Oy), and the other members are Permanent Secretary Jari Gustafsson (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment), CEO Risto E.J. Penttilä (Finland Chamber of Commerce), CEO Minna Vanhala-Harmanen (Opteam Oy) and HR Director Antero Levänen (HOK-Elanto). Managing Director Egbert Schram from itim International is jury’s expert representative.
